THE CLEAR ANSWER
What is IPL skin rejuvenation?
Intense pulsed light, often called IPL or a photofacial, uses pulses of light to address selected skin concerns. We offer consultations for concerns such as uneven tone and sun-related spots. An assessment helps determine whether IPL is appropriate for your skin and goals.
Begin with the right assessment
A spot or patch of redness can have different causes. Explain what you have noticed, how long it has been present and which treatments you have already tried. Diagnosis and suitability come before a cosmetic plan.
Your skin tone, recent sun exposure, medications and skincare products can influence the recommendation. IPL is not automatically suitable for every person or every pigmentation concern.
Understand your treatment plan
Ask what the proposed treatment is intended to address and how improvement will be evaluated. IPL is a light-based treatment, not a laser, and its results vary.
If treatment is appropriate, the team will discuss skin preparation, eye protection, the procedure and follow-up. A series of visits may be recommended, with the plan adjusted to your response.
Give aftercare the attention it needs
Follow the specific instructions provided for sun protection and skincare. Redness or swelling may occur, and other skin reactions are possible. Ask which symptoms should prompt a call and when it is appropriate to restart your usual products.
